AROUS AL RAWDAH
A Qatari fashion designer who started MOTIF in 2015. MOTIF was inspired by the skills and influence of her grandmother. As a young girl, Dana learned the basics of sewing, and her grandmother’s inspiration reflected throughout her unique designs. Her business line started with MOTIF Henna, which resembled a link between cultural and modern designs, translating cultural themes into modern motifs.
“The Bride of Al Rawdah” is the name of the Motifs 2022 bridal collection. Al Rawdah is an area in the middle of the desert where green plants and some flowers grow after the rainy season.
The collection was inspired by two unique flowers that grow in Qatar after it rains: Cistanche tubulosa and alhagi.
